Connecting & Activating Vermont Communities

VECAN Annual Conference 2017

VECAN’s annual Community Energy and Climate Action Conference is a can’t-miss event for energy committees and the partners and policymakers who want to support grassroots energy action. Our annual event is focused on empowering local leaders at the grassroots level. The workshops, speakers, and networking at the conference have inspired and activated thousands of Vermonters to make a difference in their own lives and in their community.

The event highlights programs and opportunities leaders can implement locally and frames the opportunities we, together, can seize to take climate action. We share a message of expanding local leadership, advancing big ideas and initiatives and making much-needed progress on climate and energy issues.

This year, we are celebrating a very exciting milestone — the 10th anniversary of VECAN’s annual Community Energy and Climate Action Conference. Workshops will explore a wide range of topics, from Transforming Our Transportation System, Helping More Low-Income Earners Participate in the Clean Energy Transition, The Economic Opportunities of Climate Action and many more.  Our keynote speaker will be Gina McCarthy, who served as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency under President Obama.

The 10th Annual Conference will take place on December 2nd at the Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee VT from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm. Registration will open soon.
